Mission
AlKantar is a NGO created on the belief that full integration of all individuals pertaining to our Global Village is the only way to achieve peace and prosperity and that is everyone duty working toward the elimination of all cultural and social barriers that may limit such integration.
Al Kantar is the transliteration of the Arabic word that means “bridge”. This term is widely found in Spain and in Sicily as a memory of the Arabic influence, memory of a time when cultures from these countries where deeply integrated at a time when Arab world was arguably the most advanced civilization and both Sicily and Spain benefitted greatly from becoming part of it.
